Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI will finally come into focus in early December when the game's first trailer arrives. It's one of the most anticipated games ever. According to Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick, the company tries to "create perfection" with all of its games, and this would seemingly also apply to the next GTA game. [Update: The GTA 6 trailer is now available ahead of schedule.]

"We don't tend to set particular expectations for any future releases," Zelnick told GI.biz. "Our job is to be the most creative, the most innovative, and the most efficient entertainment company in the world. All of our creative teams at all of our labels are trying to create perfection."

Take-Two has 11 franchises that have each sold more than 5 million copies across individual releases, which Zelnick says is the result of aiming for perfection.

Obviously, expectations are high for GTA VI, or whatever the game is called, considering GTA V sold more than 190 million copies. But Zelnick said Take-Two likes to "stay away from claiming victory until it's occurred."

"But we're super optimistic about the company's lineup across the board," he said.

With GTA VI's first trailer set for release in early December, Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards on December 7 would seem to be a fitting place for the trailer to drop. However, as of yet, there is nothing to connect GTA VI with The Game Awards beyond Rockstar saying the trailer will arrive in early December.

Before this, Zelnick discussed how Take-Two is "terrified at all times" of the competition, despite the GTA franchise's massive success over the years. A hack led to a huge leak of supposed details for GTA VI, the main takeaway being that it could return to Vice City and feature multiple playable protagonists.
