Google Search Features A Cool Batman Surprise Right Now, And It's Easy To Do

In advance of next week's premiere of The Batman, search giant Google has deployed a neat Easter egg for fans making related queries. On Google Search's desktop and mobile versions, a query for "Bruce Wayne," "Gotham City," or "Bat-Signal" will yield an animated Bat-Signal GIF that both celebrates and hails the Caped Crusader's arrival in theaters on March 4.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. did not sponsor the Easter egg, which will reportedly run for one year on the site. It's just the latest embarrassment of riches that have come for fans who have patiently been the highly-anticipated and repeatedly-delayed superhero film. Earlier this month, actor Robert Pattinson shared a clip during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that has no overlap with the many, many trailers--plus a camera test of Pattinson--that have been making their debuts in recent months.

The Batman releases in theaters on March 4 and runs nearly three hours, and is the first of several big DC films coming out in 2022. If that's not enough, you can also prepare for Pattinson's turn as the iconic hero by listening to both The Batman and the Riddler's themes, and there's a 4K version of a clip that unofficially leaked.

In addition to Pattinson, The Batman also features Andy Serkis as Alfred, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Paul Dano as The Riddler, and John Turturro portraying Carmine Falcone. In a recent interview, Dano said he had trouble sleeping while filming The Batman due to the "intense" scenes portraying the villain.
