GameSpot Play For All Week 1 - What To Expect

We've got a packed lineup for the first week of Play For All, including Epic Games.

June 5 Update: The Guerrilla Collective's planned events for the coming weekend have been postponed and will now take place from June 13-15. In their place, it will host a stream dedicated to games from Black creators and featuring Black characters. That will take place on June 7.

June 3 Update: We've rescheduled the MinnMax gaming trivia challenge, which will now take place on June 4 at 1 PM PT. June 3's charity stream will begin as scheduled at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET.

June 2 Update: In solidarity with Black Lives Matter and as part of Blackout Tuesday, we have made the decision to postpone today's charity stream. Instead, we ask you to consider donating to the causes linked below. The original story follows.

June 1 marks the start of Play For All, GameSpot's summer gaming event and charity celebration. It's going to be an exciting month-plus of news and announcements, with numerous companies sharing details on their upcoming games, and Microsoft and Sony continuing to detail the Xbox Series X and PS5. But beyond that, a core component of Play For All will be our daily charity livestreams, which will feature fun guests from the games industry and media. Things get underway this coming Monday at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, and we've got a great lineup for the week--here's what to look forward to.

To kick things off, we're sitting down with Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney and CTO Kim Libreri. We'll be discussing a variety of subjects, including Unreal Engine 5 and the future of gaming--along with some more eclectic topics that you'll definitely want to see for yourself.

Week 1 will also feature news and details coming from some of the biggest games, including Valorant, which officially launches next week, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Hearthstone. Sony has confirmed a PS5 event will be held on Thursday, June 4, at 1 PM PT--you can expect full coverage from GameSpot, include pre- and post-show discussions about the games being showcased. And on Saturday, the first day of The Guerrilla Collective gets underway, bringing together announcements from a variety of game publishers and developers, including Sega, Paradox, and Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios.

Barring any major events like Sony's that are sure to pop up in the coming weeks, you can also expect daily livestreams at 12 PM PT. Following our chat with Epic on Monday, you can look forward to some fun with our pals over at Giant Bomb. Throughout the week we'll also have a gaming trivia challenge with MinnMax (Tuesday), writer and host Alanah Pearce (Wednesday) and Bloodborne speedrunner HeyZeusHeresToast (Friday) for you to look forward to.

Check out our schedule for Week 1 below, and join us throughout Play For All as we seek to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts and Black Lives Matter.
