HBO will formally announce the premiere date for Game of Thrones Season 7, the network has confirmed. In a post on Facebook, HBO said the reveal will happen today at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET.

We will update this post as soon as the date is announced.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is expected to premiere on HBO this summer, potentially in July. Only one more season is planned after Season 7. This may not be end the of Game of Thrones altogether, however, as the show's creators have talked about possible spinoffs.

Season 7 is debuting later than the previous seasons, which premiered in March and April--and that's because, after all, winter is coming.

In other news about Game of Thrones Season 7, Bran actor Isaac Hempstead Wright has hinted at his character's fate. Additionally, actor Jim Broadbent recently teased the character he will play. What's more, a Major League Baseball pitcher will have a cameo part in an episode of Season 7.
