Microsoft has officially announced the next Forza Horizon game, and it's coming this year. Forza Horizon 5 is set to launch November 9 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC but Preorders are live now. Game Pass members will get the Standard version, with the option to upgrade with a Premium add-on.
As rumors suggested, the game is set in Mexico, which is just the latest international setting for the game, following Britain (Forza Horizon 4), Australia (Forza Horizon 3), France/Italy (Forza Horizon 2), and Colorado (Forza Horizon 1). The new setting was called the most diverse yet, as the Mexican landscape will span deserts, jungles, ruins, beaches, canyons, and even a snow-capped volcano.
Forza Horizon 5 will also bring back the weather-shifting mechanic, with dynamic seasons that will change weekly. A new Horizon Arcade lets you take on over-the-top racing challenges, and you can jump into the Events Lab to create your own rule sets and wacky modes. We saw cars jumping huge gaps and knocking over oversized bowling pins, for example. The demo made a point of showcasing the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE.
Forza Horizon 5 isn't the only new Forza game coming, as Turn 10 Studios is also working on Forza Motorsport 8, though it doesn't have a release date yet.
