Now Playing: Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn - Patch 3.3 Revenge of the Horde

A ton of content is on the way to Final Fantasy XIV in June as part of the 3.3 update, which received new details and a trailer today.

3.3 adds a new main scenario, Litany of Peace, that centers around the ongoing conflict with dragons.

"The conference held at Falcon's Nest was intended to celebrate the reconciliation between man and dragon," reads Square Enix's description. "But the lingering shade of Nidhogg, clad in the flesh of the Azure Dragoon, marked the occasion by spilling the blood of his own kind--a timely atrocity to remind the children of Ishgard that the conflict was far from over. In those twilight hours Nidhogg cried out for vengeance, and his brethren raised their voices for the final chorus of the Dragonsong War."

There will be plenty of new things to do, with 3.3 adding quests, trials, an alliance raid dungeon (The Weeping City of Mhach), two standard dungeons (Sohr Khai and a hard version of Hullbreaker Isle), and more daily Beast Tribe quests.

3.3 also brings with it new minions, mounts, emotes, hairstyles, crafting recipes, and some quality-of-life improvements. Those include a one-click option to equip optimal gear and a raid finder that automatically matches you up with other players. You can see much of this in the gallery below.

All of this new content arrives on June 7 for the MMO. It remains one of the few games in the genre to keep its monthly subscription fee, and Square Enix noted earlier this year that it was "sustaining [its] strong performance." The publisher also recently announced crossover content with Phantasy Star Online 2 and Yo-Kai Watch.
