FIFA 16 Demo Lets You Try Women's Teams and More

Upcoming demo for EA Sports' soccer game includes two women's teams and 10 men's clubs.

Want to try out FIFA 16 before it hit store shelves? You're in luck, as Electronic Arts has announced that a free demo for the upcoming professional soccer game will arrive starting September 8 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

The FIFA 16 demo will let you try out the standard Kick-Off mode, as well as FIFA Ultimate Team Draft, FIFA Trainer, and new skill games. Featured in the demo are 10 high-profile teams from the around the world, as well as two women's teams--including the World Cup-winning US Women's National Team. Note that the two women's teams--US and Germany--can only compete against each other in the demo.

The men's clubs available in the FIFA 16 demo are:

  • FC Barcelona
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • Borussia Mönchengladbach
  • Chelsea FC
  • Inter Milan
  • Manchester City
  • Paris Saint-Germain
  • Real Madrid C.F.
  • River Plate
  • Seattle Sounders

There are three available stadiums in the FIFA 16 demo: Borussia-Park, CenturyLink Field, and Santiago Bernabeu.

FIFA 16 is the first entry in the longrunning series to feature women's teams. In addition, US Women's star Alex Morgan will join Lionel Messi on the game's cover in the United States.

The FIFA 16 release date is set for September 22 across all platforms. Competitor PES 2016, a demo for which is available now, arrives a week earlier, on September 15.
