Fallout 4 Release Date Announced at E3 2015

Fallout 4 will launch on November 10, publisher Bethesda announced tonight during its E3 2015 briefing. The game is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The release date was revealed at Bethesda's E3 press conference, where a lengthy gameplay trailer was also shown. You can watch that below.

A 2015 release date is not exactly a surprise, given that Bethesda's own online store (and other retailer websites) listed the game as coming sometime in 2015.

Fallout 4 only wins E3 if there is no Mass Effect 4. If EA shows Mass Effect 4, fallout will be irrelevant

@atakanovic: Mass Effect 4 won't win if they will make it similar to Dragon Age: Inquisition (mmo structure- no side quests, tons of fetch quests and absolutely no cutscenes/cinematic camera with NPCs outside main quest/companion quests, main quest short as hell). The bad things is, there are some rumors that ME4 will follow the same route like DA:I. Sad, really.

@Argle: you mean the small vocal minority of people who complained? I predict it sells better than mass effect 3 and that sold quite a lot of games. Some of the mass effect fan base considers it to be dead but i am pretty sure most people are still into it. If i had to pick one i would go mass effect but fallout 4 should be good as well!

@CaveManCobb: I never said the ending was great. I just think its a bit much to say an entire fan base hates a game based on an ending. No different than the people who say most people hate COD yet COD continues to sell well every year.

Bethesda already won E3. Over. Done. I can't even.

Fallout 4 looks freaking amazing. And you know why? They didn't spend forever working on things which do not matter. They are using graphics and engines which are just good enough, and creating mounds and mounds of amazing content around those things. I wish more companies would have taken this approach. Content and stories and new features and new worlds to explore are what's important. You do not need to upgrade the entire thing every time, if your game is about the story or gameplay.

The game is not pretty, but you can really see that they put the power of the consoles/PC to good use on gameplay advances. Not very trendy, but VERY welcome.

@havok1496: It set the bar high for storytelling and graphics in an open-world. That's all it did. Fallout 4 looks better in all other aspects and maybe even storytelling, though we don't know that yet.

@Tiwill44: story has never really been the strong part of the fallout series. They aren't bad, but they aren't the best. At the end of the day its all opinion. I am sure some people will love fallout more regardless of how it actually is once it comes out. That said the game needs to be played first. Way too early to call it goty.

@havok1496: The witcher 3 is a testament to how broken new games are for the next Gen. The combat and controls are abysmal and what redeemed this game from falling off the chart is their hype, graphics and legacy. People still play it because it's the next best thing. I got so frustrated at level 20 because of the mechanics I almost gave up playing.
