Unfortunately, it appears Season 2 might not be in the works, but Lucasfilm's president hasn't ruled it out.

Ewan McGregor wants to come back to make Obi-Wan Season 2, but if it's going to happen, he hasn't heard about it yet. Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, McGregor was asked for an update on a potential Season 2, and his answer might not be what fans want to hear.

"I have no news to tell. I'm waiting for the call. I don't know that it's happening," he said.

McGregor was sitting next to his wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who stars in the Star Wars TV show Ahsoka as Hera Syndulla. She had more positive news to share, re-confirming that Ahsoka Season 2 is now in the works.

As of April 2023, Obi-Wan Season 2 was "not in active development," according to Lucasfilm. President Kathleen Kennedy hasn't closed the door entirely, though.

"I never say never, because there's always the possibility. That show was so well-received and [director] Deborah Chow did such a spectacular job. Ewan McGregor really wants to do another. We'll turn our attention to that again maybe down the road," she said.

While Obi-Wan Season 2 might not happen soon, or ever, the Star Wars TV series The Acolyte is reportedly coming to Disney+ this June. There are also multiple Star Wars movies in the works, including one that brings back Daisy Ridley as Rey.
