Enshrouded - Where To Find The Alchemist

Enshrouded lets you battle foes by focusing on melee, ranged, or spell-based combat. If you prefer the last one, then you definitely need the services of a particular NPC. Here's our guide on how to find the Alchemist in Enshrouded.

How to find the Alchemist in Enshrouded

You can find the Alchemist by heading to his specific Ancient Vault. It's further northwest of your initial base/starting point, and also directly west of the Ancient Spire - Springlands fast travel point.

How to reach the Ancient Vault - Alchemist

To reach the Enshrouded Alchemist's Ancient Vault, we recommend using the Springlands Ancient Spire (assuming you've already unlocked it as a waypoint). It offers a clear view of the surrounding countryside, and you'll be able to use the Glider to swiftly make your way to the west.

If you're going on foot, we still suggest using the Glider, except you'll do the dodge-roll exploit with it. If ever you encounter sloping paths and hills, you can jump and activate the Glider to force your character to roll, allowing you to climb up steep inclines.

Ancient Vault - Alchemist interior

There are several scavenger enemies outside the Ancient Vault. Likewise, there are at least three inside--one is at the entrance, and two more are inside the pod chamber itself. You can either shoot them from afar if you have a bow, or you can attempt to take them out at close range with a melee weapon.

Once the coast is clear, simply interact with the glowing pod to rescue the Alchemist. Then, fast travel back to your home base. Similar to the process of rescuing the Blacksmith, you have to construct a shelter for the Alchemist. You may also place him in the same building as the Blacksmith to complete the side quest.

Alchemist crafting functions

The Alchemist provides a lot of crafting recipes that are perfect for survival and spellcasting. These include:

• Health Potion - Requires 1x Red Mushroom, 1x Purple Berries, and 1x Water; heals +200 HP.
• Shroud Survival Flask - Requires 1x Charcoal, 1x Shroud Liquid, and 1x Wood Acid; grants an extra two minutes maximum time in the Shroud. It's one of the ways you can survive for prolonged periods in Shroud-covered areas.
• Fireball I - Requires 10x Resin, 1x Tar, and 2x Bonemeal; lets you cast the Fireball spell with your staff.
• Ice Bolt - 2x Water and 5x Shroud Liquid; lets you cast the Ice Bolt spell with your staff.
• Shroud Core - Requires 10x Shroud Spores and 10x Shroud Liquid. This resource is used to upgrade the Flame Altar.
• Alchemist Armor Set - This NPC's basic armor set grants bonuses to mana and magical critical strike chance.

This is how you can find the Alchemist in Enshrouded. Don't forget that there are more NPCs that you'll meet as you venture further into unknown lands. These include the Carpenter, Farmer, and Hunter.
