Twitch streamer DrDeComposing has completed a no-hit Elden Ring run with an electric saxophone controller. This makes it the world's first confirmed no-hit run without the use of a standard controller.

DrDeComposing shared a video of them defeating the game's final boss, Elden Beast, while using the saxophone controller (as relayed by IGN). The saxophone controller is actually a Roland AE-10 aerophone, which is a digital wind instrument. The Twitch streamer is known for using the controller to complete From Software's games, as well as others.

Now Playing: Why Elden Ring Is Game Of The Year 2022

According to DrDeComopsing, they have completed all of the Dark Souls games, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Demon's Souls with the saxophone controller. Not only is this impressive on its own, but the streamer completes the games very quickly--in just a matter of hours. The Elden Ring no-hit run took just under 2.5 hours to complete. The full run can be seen on DrDeComposing's Twitch channel.

The Souls games are known for being completed with wild controller setups. Players have used Guitar Hero controllers, Dance Dance Revolution dance pads, and even Donkey Kong bongos to finish FromSoftware's games.

Elden Ring launched in 2022 and was one of the most acclaimed games of the year. Since then, it has sold millions of copies and even has an expansion in the works called Shadow of the Erdtree.
