Sports fans looking to take their game on the road got a couple of bits of good news today. Electronic Arts announced that NBA Street Showdown and FIFA Soccer have both shipped for the PSP. Both games were developed by EA Canada, the studio behind Need for Speed Underground 2 and the console versions of FIFA Soccer and NBA Street V3.

The two games will feature EA Pocket Trax, which transforms the PSP into a music player featuring the songs from both games. NBA Street Showdown and FIFA Soccer will also take advantage of the wireless capability of the PSP with multiplayer modes.

NBA Street Showdown shrinks down the popular extreme basketball franchise to portables for the first time. Mobile gamers can lace up the high-tops of NBA legends and today's stars in three-on-three streetball action. Two new mini-modes include "arcade shootout," which tests gamers' shooting ability, and "shot blocker," which tests gamers' defensive prowess.

FIFA Soccer brings the beautiful game to the PSP. There are several modes, such as season, tournament, and a challenge mode that gives squads a difficult task to accomplish. Fans of footy can also compete in real-world tournaments such as the English League Cup or MLS Open Cup. Commentators John Motson and Alley McCoist, the same duo from the console versions of FIFA, call the play-by-play.

Both titles are rated E for Everyone and retail for $49.99. For more information on the games, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of NBA Street Showdown and FIFA Soccer.
