E3 2018: Xbox One Version Of Nier Automata Announced
Nier Automata: Become as Gods edition launches for Xbox One on June 26.
Ahead of Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, Square Enix has revealed that Nier Automata is coming to Xbox One. In a blog post that has since been taken down, the publisher announced the acclaimed action RPG will be released digitally on Microsoft's console later this month, and it'll include a handful of extra content.
Dubbed the Nier Automata: Become as Gods edition, the game will retail for $50 and comes with the base adventure, plus several DLC packs. That includes the 3C3C1D119440927 expansion--which lets players fight the bosses of Square Enix and Platinum Games--as well as the following cosmetic items:
- Grimoire Weiss Pod
- Retro Red Pod Skin
- Retro Grey Pod Skin
- Cardboard Pod Skin
- The Machine Lifeform Mask Accessory
Nier Automata: Become as Gods edition launches in the Microsoft Store on June 26. It originally released for PS4 and PC in 2017 and was a critically and commercial success for Square Enix. GameSpot awarded it a 9/10 in our Nier Automata review and called it "a meaty, often exhilarating trek that showcases Platinum Games' and Yoko Taro's unique blend of genius." We also selected it as one of the best games of 2017.
We'll undoubtedly see more of Nier Automata: Become as Gods during Microsoft's E3 press conference, which is scheduled to air today, June 10, at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET. The publisher hasn't revealed what it will discuss during the presentation, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer said there will be a lot of game reveals. You can stream it live on GameSpot or follow along with our Microsoft liveblog.
