Dishonored to get Game of the Year Edition

@BFKZ It could be a fun game to play, if you try to use and combine different methods to finish your assassination. Nevertheless, the game discourages you to actually kill people, so if you want a good ending, you will have to avoid killing, which is boring like a hell.

The world is well designed. I like it, although the graphics is just console standard. It doesn't even support DX10. The environment is well scripted in each level, not very open world like, but it does change depending on the decisions you made in previous levels (aka: killing people or not).

@BFKZ a word of advice, in the opions menu take off the waypoint markers (whatever they are called) that point you on where to go. looking back i think i would have had more fun if i had to explore to beat each mission. i had them on and...i think it ruined my experience some.

@BFKZ I love Dishonored. It's my GOTY of last year. It's a game that rewards you for playing the way you want to play. It's a stealth game whereby you can try not getting seen by anyone, sedate people, kill people or simply kill everyone and make it an action game. I have replayed the game many times and there are still things I haven't seen or done...

The people that dislike this are the same people that like linear games that hold your hand throughout the entirety of the game.

I already own Dishonored and all the DLC and will be buying the new DLC next week, but I'll also purchase the GOTY edition and give it away to someone I know simply because this game is so awesome ! :D

Dishonored is right up there with Bioshock as the best games I've played this console generation. I think some people dislike it because it's too short (which I have never understood. Took me about 20 hours the first playthrough)...I assume they "blinked" through all of the levels.

@BFKZ In stark contrast, I loved Dishonored. It's in my top five games on the PS3. It knocked Little Big Planet out of my list and that was no easy feat because Stephen Fry's narration and Sackboy were sure fire winners for me.

That's why I'm pissed there isn't a super-duer-uber hard mode on ghostbusters.

It's no longer a challenge and it's losing it's appeal.

@19James89 No, you did the right thing by paying full price on release. Arkane studios aren't big like EA, Rockstar, etc. They need support so don't hold out a year to buy the GOTY versions. I don't mind paying full price for a game when their is a lot of replay value. Dishonored is one of the best games this gen.

@19James89 When it was more than $30 I said, "Oh, I'll wait until it's cheaper." When it was $30 I said, "Oh, I'll wait for a sale." When it was on sale I said, "Oh, I'll just wait for an ultimate edition." I might wait for that to go on sale then I'll get it. I pre-ordered Bioshock: Infinite (which also came with X-Com). Also, I figured that the B:I DLC wasn't going to be any good. Just depends on the game.

Also, dishonored is nowhere NEAR as good as everyone makes it out to be.

It is good, and you should play it, just don't go in thinking it's god's gift like everyone plays it out to be.

It's just a FPS shooter/stealth game. No biggie.

It's all censorship. Grow a pair and accept reality, stop trying to hide things as if they don't exist.

They billed it with so much replayability, when I went back to a previous level and had NONE of my powers....

I just didn't see the point. I traded it in right then and there.
