Destiny 2: Here's When The Dawning Event Begins

Destiny 2's winter event, The Dawning, is coming very soon. It's scheduled to begin on December 19 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and now developer Bungie has confirmed precisely when snow will begin to fall in the game. In a tweet today, Bungie said The Dawning will begin around 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET on December 19.

As announced previously, The Dawning will see Destiny 2's social spaces, the Tower and Farm, decorated with a festive look. Additionally, snow has fallen and you can take part in the merriment by having snowball fights with other players.

Also new for The Dawning is the return of the Crucible's Mayhem mode, which is the all-out-crazy mode where your Super recharges faster. Additionally, there are new Dawning engrams that you can earn each week by completing milestones in Crucible and Strikes. Destiny 2 did not have a Halloween event, so this is the game's first seasonal event in some time. It's a nice little treat to enjoy just before the holidays. Check out the images in the gallery above to see how Destiny 2 will look when The Dawning kicks off tomorrow.
