Is Star Wars: Rogue One and Casino Royale actor Mads Mikkelsen in Hideo Kojima's next game? That's the question people are asking today after evidence has come to light that suggest he will have some role in Kojima's first post-Konami game, the mysterious and intriguing Death Stranding for PS4 and PC.

Here's how it all started. First, Kojima himself tweeted a picture of a man in a motion-capture studio wearing an orange-and-grey hoodie. Then, somehow, this Instagram user published a picture of himself with the actor, who appears to be wearing the same sweatshirt.

More interestingly, the Instagram user, jmerskine1, says he chatted with Mikkelsen, who reportedly told him that he was acting in a video game from a Japanese developer. He also remarked that "[Mikkelsen] was very intentionally vague..." about what he could say.

Possibly lending even more credence to the thought that Mikkelsen is in Death Stranding is that Kojima himself is a big fan of the actor. In a January 2015 tweet dug up by Eurogamer, Kojima called Mikkelsen his "favorite actor."

As of yet, Mikkelsen's involvement in Death Stranding is only a rumor.

He wouldn't be the first celebrity to have a part in the game, however, as The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus is also in it. Kojima's last game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, featured Kiefer Sutherland as the main character, Snake.

Death Stranding was announced at E3 2016 during Sony's briefing. The game is a console exclusive for PS4, but will also come to PC. The game remains very mysterious and we have lots of questions. Don't expect the game to come out soon, however, as Kojima says it's still early days.
