Actors Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood are often compared, and now Radcliffe has spoken about this phenomenon and how he feels about it. Speaking to Vanity Fair, Radcliffe said he thinks himself and Wood share some similarities, but anyone who saw them standing next to each other might not get them confused.

"I think that me and Elijah Wood, the idea of us is the same--we are both short, pale, brown-haired actors with blues eyes. But we don't actually look that alike when we're next to each other," he said. "But conceptually, we are the same."

Radcliffe (34) went on to say that he thinks it's funny when people mistake him for Wood (42). The animated GIF below shows just how similar the two can be in appearance with the right editing.

Radcliffed added that he's never purposefully pretended to be Wood, but he has signed photos of Wood that fans bring to him. Radcliffe previously discussed how he once signed an autograph, "I am not Elijah Wood."

For years, there have been rumors that Radcliffe and Wood had a rivalry in part because they starred in gigantic movie franchises (Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings) that released around the same time. But Radcliffe and Wood set the record straight and said there was never a rivalry.

In 2016, Wood said he and Radcliffe almost had a real hand-to-hand fight, before Wood said no. "I ultimately squashed it, because I was like, 'I don't want to fight this guy.' I don't want the culmination of the fact that we look alike or somehow get mistaken for each other to end up being in a boxing ring," Wood said. "So it didn't end up happening. Much to the disappointment of a lot of people."

In other news, Radcliffe recently responded to rumors that he will play Wolverine and explained why he got really buff.
