lol soooooooo many people get duped into buying this trash from them... only good thing about it is that it's purely a zombie map pack. but i can get a map pack plus weapons for pre-ordering Battlefield 3 on Origin so... pretty lame of them to do this like they're giving us a deal.

Jeez they wait almost a year to release the four zombie maps I've had since Black Ops came out but have been unable to play with my friends because none of them got anything other than the standard edition. Now they want me to pay $15 for the one map in that pack I don't have? Thanks for giving me the finger and a big FU Activision >

Thank god I didn't support them until now. And heck! 5 zombie maps for $15? I was hoping that the original 4 would be $20, but this is even better!

Why couldn't they have done this sooner? I would have much rather gotten just zombie maps in a DLC pack since the beginning

Kinda sucks I missed the pre-order window for Black Ops and couldn't get the free import for the original maps, but for me, $15 is a fair price for a new map (Moon) and Der Riese alone. The other 3 for me are just the icing on the cake. I approve of this announcement.

'The next installment in the series could be even more successful' I love and loved the COD series from the beginning (IMHO COD 4 set a new standard for FPS's) but the games have become repetitive, almost stale, with no real innovations. Considering the fact that they are going up against Battlefield 3 (having played the Alpha last week its going to be epic) which, by its name recognition alone, will at minimum split the fan base. There is no chance they will match the numbers that Black Ops pulled.

I think its stupid how call of duty is releasing a map pack of old content for 15 bucks but i can get a free map pack just for preordering battlefield 3.

@Rocker6 All I can say is that you can always exercise some patience. It will go away - eventually. No need to lash out at GameSpot News at doing what it is supposed to do - fishing for views. :P

@Gelugon_baat Yeah,thats true,but at least in a few month both CoD and BF3 will be released,then there wont be too many boring news about them,other than financial reports,at least for some time.As I said before,this battle of those games is really becoming annoying,I cant wait for it to stop.

This is by far the best map pack and best solution to everyone being able to get the old zombie maps. Kind of wish they had done about three months after the game came out though because thats when all my friends still had the game. They loved zombies but got tired of kino and five to quickly and didnt like the multiplayer as much as modern warfare 2 so they sold it. But now i can play with people on the old maps instead of only seeing 72 people online. Good job on making the add-on free for those of us who dished out the extra money early when the game came out.

@Rocker6 Well, the only way you are going to see those other games get Top Stories is if they are very popular. Or GameSpot staffers are very slanted towards those games. :D

I already have the classic maps, but this will be great because I get a free new map and soundtrack.The 2 best things about this for me are that now my friends will stop bugging at me to get the waw maps AND there will actually be people online so I can get in a game on verruckt and won't have to worry about the only chance of there being more than 3 players being some guy whos playing split screen with his autistic monkey.

@Gelugon_baat No,actually this battle of BF3 and CoD annoys me,and I would prefer to see more Top Stories about other games,too often they are either about BF3 or CoD.Dont think Im some mindless BF3 drone,I will be getting the game only because I want a good FPS this year,and BF3 contains more creativity and innovation than CoD,judging from things I saw,and those thnigs are most important to me.If with time BF becomes generic like CoD and CoD becomes innovative I will easily switch,but that is unlikely to happen.

If you think about it, if you add all the dlc together, you're paying for an entirely different game. Is a couple of new maps worth an entire other game, or even the entire game of Black ops.

@Rocker6 Perhaps I should have made an implied message in my earlier post clearer. GameSpot is setting Top Stories for popular games to get the users who are following them to view said "news". GameSpot will not care about your complaints about which news deserve coverage or not. That's for GameSpot to decide. That said, I suppose if the Top Story is about a game that you like, you wouldn't have any problem with it and GameSpot, would you? If DICE made color-blind or some other disability options for Battlefield 3, you might just say that this is good news and thumb's-up for DICE and GameSpot for covering this news, might you not?

I don't remember Bad Company 2 getting top stories for all their map packs. How about when Modern Warfare 3 releases actual online gameplay? Which I doubt they will...then make it a top story.

I already have the Hardened edition so this is pretty sweet. Aside from getting this for free there will finally be a decent amount of people playing the world at war maps. At long last I won't have to put up with split screeners in every lobby!!!!

@Gelugon_baat I didnt say that only stories about CoD are Top Stories,of course other games often make Top Story.But what annoys me is when Activi$ion announces someting inssignificant about CoD that exists in many other games and it gets a Top Story,while there are news that sound much more important and interesting.You cant deny that,IMO news about map pack and color blind option that is present in many other games dont deserve Top Story.

Oh god I used to stand with Cod against BF. But now when they try to sell us a couple of zombie maps for $15 as if we are ignorant 12 years old kids. I think I will stand up for BF.

"The fifth map--Moon--is entirely new and takes place in outer space, on the moon." That is as realistic as the rest of CoD's action, so no surprise there. Doesn't this content pack come too close to the launch of MW3 or are they counting on that the new levels will only give you so much gaming joy so that when you're done with the pack, there is still plenty of time left to yearn for MW3.
