When Call of Duty: Black Ops III launched in November, you needed to have preordered the game to play the Nuk3town map, the game's updated version of the classic Black Ops arena.

Now, it's available free for all players across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Activision announced today.

Not only is the map free, but the same is true for a Nuk3town personalization pack that launched today on the same platforms. This comes with a Nuk3town-themed weapon camo and reticles, as well as a similarly themed calling card.

To mark Nuk3town's public release, developer Treyarch is launching a 24/7 playlist for the next week featuring only Nuk3town. Additionally, the map will show up in the main map rotation across a number of playlists, Activision said in a blog post.

Nuketown was first seen in the original Black Ops from 2010 and then again in Black Ops II, where it was known as Nuketown 2025. The map also appeared in Black Ops Declassified as Nukehouse.

The Nuk3town version for Black Ops III is far more colorful and futuristic-looking than any previous iteration. That's in part because it takes place in Black Ops III's 2065 setting.
