BlizzCon 2018 News And Announcements: Diablo, Overwatch, WoW, And Warcraft Reveals

What we wanted:

Diablo 2 LoD remastered

Warcraft 4 set after the events of Frozen Throne

Possibly move StarCraft over to MMO realm, kind of like a Planetside-esque setting

What we got:

mobile Diablo and some cereal

Releasing a breakfast cereal that is horribly unhealthy to kids who already have ADD from playing too many twitch FPS games is pretty heinous imho. INB4 people start updating their diabetes goals for 2019.

As far as the mobile Diablo goes they can do what they want with it even though I may not touch it. Yes, Blizzard has changed since Activision acquired them so they dance to someone else beat and not their own. I do not know if it was for the better or for the worse. Who knows they may be working and then again they may not because we only can receive info they give us. I am kind of interested about Warcraft 3 Reforged and want to know more about it before making an judgement. As far as D3 goes it is just okay and not as fun as D2 was for me Imho and I hear crickets when some people and myself ask about the remaster of D2.

Blizzcon is a shadow of its former self.

What happened to blizzard?

People don't get it how easy these remaster or Y reforged Y think, i's same pogrom who create heroes of storm, also warcraft 3 relay, what new about!? why not warcraft 4, so in the end nothing new, and diablo phone! another achiev from blizzard pot it on there list.

Next year ripmaster Starcraft 1

No mention of the mega backlash over Diablo Mobile gamespot? It's genuine big news in the gaming world, but gamespot doesn't consider it worthy news eh?

It's really interesting to see that the major gaming news site, no one talks about how blizzard did not hear the fans. Everyone is bought...

I'm definitely interested in WoW Classic, I wonder if it will be a success. If turns out to be a success what path they will take to unlock new content, a new one or just release old content.

I dunno what to say about ' Diablo ' im actually just SMH.

We wanted Vanilla WOW 4 years ago & already knew it was coming & Warcraft 3 is meh.

Blizzard is no longer one of my favs after HOTS & Overwatch...

they are making a killing off micro transactions from the sheople.

Going even deeper with the cartoonish graphics... as if Diablo 3, with it's bright colors, was not removed enough from the dark, grim, atmosphere of Diablo 2.

Why is it so hard to make a game look and feel like that? For example the guys behind PoE, or the ones behind Grim Dawn got it right, why can't you?

Oh, i know... LACK OF PASSION! For this game, for this franchise in general. It really shows.

You've learned nothing, Blizz, from the D3 fiasco, and i fear you never will. The teams you've got working on Diablo just don't get the basic ideas. I bet they've never even played the first 2 games, or if they did, they're not fans.

Stick to Warcraft or whatever game those design teams come from since D3, leave this series rest in peace.

Or better still, give the rights to the game to a better team, a 3rd party team, one made from fans of the first 2 games. It would make the exact difference, the fresh air this franchise needs to reach heavenly heights again.

Im soooooo mad. As a Diablo faithful, Im just NOT happy with this cashgrab mobile bs. Tell u what Blizz, you better make 5 million off this mobile bs and PRAY you have a player base left in Diablo by next year. ALL that Warcraft content, and they cant do 10 hours of new Diablo. I heard the news of an announcement a cpl months ago. I jumped back on to get my toons ready, geared etc. Then we get a MOBILE game. Really disappointed. Mad as hell...

Honestly, in my opinion, Blizzard is in one big mess. Their Overwatch (which I do play) is very much lacking in many ways and gets boring really quickly. They release many expansions for Hearthstone just to get more money, but none of those so-called new cards add anything new to the game, I stopped playing it quite some time ago.

Their MOBA doesn't attract a huge crowd and they are suffering from the popularity of the Battle Royale genre and they have nothing to offer themselves. That mobile Diablo is a joke, but I still see many players playing this game regardless of the massive dislikes. I also see tons of microtransactions just to make sure blizzard can get money in order to stabilize their failures with other games.

This all explains the rush to release Diablo on mobile, which not a move to satisfy fans but to make quick money to cover up losses. This is a cry for help as far as I can see it, because I believe that if it wasn't the case, Blizzard wouldn't have made that embarrassing move. The question is whether players will vote with their wallets or just make a bark and play the game anyway.

I do love the new Overwatch character Ashe and I still enjoy playing Overwatch from time to time. It's really a fun and polished game, although other than competitive where I am not progressing anywhere because I play alone, there is no other rewarding game mode alternative. Destiny had it and I could jump from one place to another. One thing I think Blizzard should do it introduce a new rewarding game mode to Overwatch. I mean, such amazing character roster, visuals, sleek gameplay mechanics, only to get stuck in that boring competitive mode (if you are an average player like myself).

Those cinematic trailers and shorts that Blizzard release are great, but I want to play games, not just see that the best part of Blizzard nowadays is making great trailers.

I am a big fan, and I am disappointed looking at the path Blizzard is heading, but at the same breath I do understand their desperate moves. Having said that, I do believe that they have a few surprises and it's just too soon to reveal them.

I hope things go well for Blizzard, I am still a fan, and I hope to see more great things coming from this dev.

Disappointing. That Diablo reveal was the nail on the coffin. Goodbye Blizzard. Good luck with that mess.

Hey but it makes totaly sence, thex just developed D3 for switch, its just another port with some new story aaaaand a faaaaat cashshop, I hope I can watch advertises to double my epic drops... lool

I think Blizzard is a very talented company that just flat out refuses to take on new and creative risks until they seemingly have no other choice. It can be downright frustrating to watch.
