The trailer may not provide many explanations, but like the previous games in the series, you can assume that the game is sett on an island teeming with the dead (undead?). But in a surprising twist, this more stylized take will only come to last-gen systems: Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Due out later this year and coming in at the budget price of $39.99, Escape is completely separate from Deep Silver's other Dead Island projects. Just to make sure you've got things straight, Dead Island 2 is the more mainstream sequel slated for Xbox One, PS4, and PC (which we checked out at E3 earlier this year). And Deep Silver's also working on the MOBA Dead Island: Epidemic
