When I first heard of this game I thought it was exactly what I'd been waiting for...I was right!

I love co-op games, simple as that. Playing on your own is fun, sure, but playing with a friend is sooo much better! So when I heard about this game's release, I was over the moon. Finally, a game I'd get on first day release!

Plopped it in the machine, installed all the updates (snore), and got stuck straight in! I loved every second of it, from mowing down enemies to blinging out my guns.

The Aggro Meter is a very neat idea (albeit slightly daft), which works well in this game, allowing players to sneak up unnoticed while their partner blindly spaffs fire towards everything that moves. This allows for all kinds of pincer moves and so on, which is essentially the whole point of playing with a friend, helping each other out with strategies!

Upgrading guns (read - painting them gold and drizzling diamonds all over them, cos who wants a silencer really!?) is also great fun, yet beware, your actions in the editing room can affect your Aggro meter drastically! A silencer will help you hide, while platinum shiny guns with fairy lights on will certainly help draw the attention you war!

The quirky banter between Salem and Rios, as well as their actual plight, helps keep the player involved and wanting to keep playing, if only to see the dynamic between the partners evolve as they help (or don't help!) each other out!

Every now and then the camera can go a bit loopy, which can get frustrating, but allowing the occasional mess up here and there, this is a solid game I'd recommend to anyone, especially those wanting to play the sequel (40th Day).
