So I went in to Anthem really hoping that it was going to be something special. After following it for years I was super excited to get ahold of it. And let me tell you, what a HUGE LET DOWN. So first the positives. Graphics are stellar. Huge fully realized worlds teaming with plants and animals are gorgeous to explore. Your javalin looks sweet too. The flying and combat feel fluid and exciting. The combo system is interesting and I wish it was played up more. The lore is detailed and interesting. And that's where the praise stops. The main story line starts off on a good not and then instantly drops off. The main villian is bland and interesting. All the characters are unimportant and talking to them is generally just an annoyance. And the game forces you to go back into the hub world "fort tarsis" to talk to them often. The loading screen are atrociously plentiful as are glitches and bugs, embarrassingly so. Screen go black for no reason in the middle of a mission, ai floats off through walls, game crashes, you name it. But most damming of all is that the loot is embarasingly EMBARASELYING BORING. How could you make a loot based game with boring loot? What's wrong with? You should be ashamed!!!!! All in all the game is fun, and maybe in 1 year itll be amazing. Hell maybe itll be worth the money in 6 months. But currently I cant recommend it to anyone.
