A game that you should probably avoid if you already have the DS game.

I received this game for X-mas last year, and it was a bit disappointing. Here's the review:

STORY: As usual with the Animal Crossing titles, there is no story. Creating one is the point of it, and it can be very fun... that is, if you want to go through all of the hard work again if you already own the DS or GC titles. N/A

GAMEPLAY: The way you play the game is exactly how you'd expect it to be if you've played Animal Crossing before: You can talk with neighbors, plant trees, go fishing, go fossil hunting, visit the museum, go shopping, etc., etc., its all here. Exclusive to this version is the city, where you get to ride a bus to get there. However, the city gets real boring after a trip or two. You'd only go there for a haircut or something, but after awhile it'll start to seem like a chore. Sure, there are a few more fish and bugs and fossils to collect, but it'll start to seem like a chore to look for those other varieties. An upside is that you can transfer over a player from the DS version to this version. However, they will have to start from scratch and re-acquire the things that they might've had in Wild World in City Folk. 6/10

GRAPHICS: The graphics are really simple, but aside from the enhancement from the DS version to this one in terms of graphics, there isn't much else noticeably different. 7/10

MUSIC: Just like the DS version, you can make the town theme song and all of the musical tracks are relaxing and carefree. They sound pretty nice. 8/10

For those of you who WANT to start clean, or who are new to Animal Crossing, this is the game for you. However, for those who've played Animal Crossing before and are expecting a big enhancement, or something to adjust its $50 price tag should look somewhere else.
