I'm a realist, meaning I'm not a fanboy, and also I don't trash a game just because it didn't live up to the hype. I rate it what it should be rated for what it is.

Firstly this game has nice graphics and features many famous snowboarders. The unlockables are great but are they worth unlocking considering how hard this game can be?
The sound is excellent, mainly because of the custom soundtracks. HOORAH!

I don't suck at games, Ninja Gaiden is the only game that I have played that I consider hard. But this game goes beyond hard to mind numblingly annoying. Sometimes a particular test might be the only way to continue through the game. It involves you jumping 40 feet into the fair and landing on a tree normally physically impossible to get to, then sliding along it's branch, landing on a pole, leading to another branch, landing on the ground and through the finish only to realise that:
sure you completed the test but you didn't score enough points!

I found myself swearing constantly as you would imagine. Luckily I didn't buy this game, I merely borrowed it from a friend. It's definetely not a bad game. The satisfaction you get from doing a good chain of moves is sweet. If you like challanges and love snowboarding then get this game. It will take some time to pass through the harder tests.

Overall it's a good game, I love the features, and a bit of the depth. But I found it too hard. Maybe it's just me. Rent it first...
