Sleeper hit in my book!

User Rating: 9 | Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure WII
There were times when, after playing this game, I thought, I would never get past this puzzle, and was frustrated with Zack and Wiki. Then, there were times, which happened more frequently than not, of exhilaration after solving a puzzle, clearing a level, and then you realize: this game makes you feel dumb after missing a key element of a level, only to make you feel like a genius after you solve it.

I have never been a puzzle fan, but if you like to test your problem solving skills, this would be the game to try. The story is cute, graphics are good (judging for 2007 standards and this is 2010), but it's the interaction you have that really makes this game shine. This game has a "Choose Your own Adventure" feel that harkens back to the '80s as a kid reading those aforementioned books and reading both (or sometimes three) pages to see the endings. Even dying (which you likely do often) is comical, even when I was so miffed when I worked certain levels in the wrong order.

I had no inclination to play this when I got this game back in '08 and now I couldn't imagine not playing it. It's that good, that fun and, when you finally "get it" so rewarding. Give it a try!
