If you HAVE to play every Yu-Gi-Oh title that hits the shelf then give it a shot. Otherwise stay away.

I think it is sad that because the game Yu-Gi-Oh is designed for a younger audience, video game makers think they can get away with pumping out junk titles to make them happy. First of all, Yu-Gi-Oh as a card game can be lots of fun, not something I could do all the time, but none-the-less enjoyable. Lots of neat cards, a pretty good battle system and awesome anime style art. Duelists of the Roses completely slaughters everything good about it. The 3D battle scenes are horrible, the new battle system is even worse, and to top it all off, card collecting is HORRIBLY difficult. Not to mention that you can't even play with the decks you want because of the card ranking system and the different (low) limit for each of the VERY few battles there are. Beat the game and get a code for a secret card, one of only two possible, depending on which path you took. If you are looking to enjoy a game, look elsewhere. If you want the cards inserts, you can probably get them cheaper somewhere else. If it says Yu-Gi-Oh and you HAVE to have it, I'd think twice. If your kids are fans, get them some booster packs or a pair of socks instead, they will enjoy them more. It really is that bad.
