Dont play this game if you're not a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan.

User Rating: 5.5 | Yu-Gi-Oh! Shin Duel Monsters II: Keishou Sareshi Kioku (Konami the Best) PS2
This game was fun to begin with as you chose your own deck and you can choose your destiny as siding with the evil or good side.

Story:
In story mode, you can choose to side with the Yorkists (bad side with Seto) or the other side with the hard-to-prounonce- name (yugi's side), you battle your way with different scenarios and try to beat the story mode for both sides. As you deafeat players, you can have 3 random cards from their deck. You lose, you try again,

Deck Building:
Basically, you start off with a pretty mediocre deck. There are cheat codes btw to strengthen it with good cards. You will have a set amount of DP (destruction points) for your deck. Say your opponents DP is at 1000, your own decks DP cant surpass 1000 so you must build and set your deck according to that. There are 40 cards in a deck.

Custom Duel:
Basically what it is. Set your terrain, and duel someone random.

Duels:
When you start a duel, there will be a set terrain of mixed fields, dark, meadow, etc. These will affect the cards in your deck, as if you set a non-toon card on toon-terrain, it will lose attack and defense points as long as it stays there. If you set, say a dark monster on dark terrain, it will gain attack points. Use that strategy to help you win duels. First, you gotta someone cards, first set where you want your card to go, the summon a card. If you only have say 5 summon points, you may only summon a monster with 5 or lower stars. The main object of the game is to attack your opponents with high level attacks as you can boost your monsters attacks with magic or spells. Force your opponent to 0 life points and you win.

Winning:
Each player starts with 4000 life points. One way to win is to force your opponent down to 0 life. You may attack your opponents monsters and attack your life points directly to lower their life. Also, another way to win is to surround your opponents leader card, sorround it with your monsters and you automatically win. Another way to win, is that if no one has won by 99 turns, the player with higher life points wins. The last way to win a duel is if you collect all 5 peices of Exodia. Exoida the Forbidden One must be your leader card. Surround your leader with different limbs of Exodia. Left Leg, right leg, right hand, left hand, the head will be the leader card. get all the peices on the field and you win.

The Good:
fun to see your favorite cards out on the dueling arena, battles are just the right difficulty, you get a card or 2 if you buy the game

The Bad:
Graphics could be better, boring after you beat the game, no voices, DP holds your deck back
