Are you looking for a immersive WWII tank sim? Then look elsewhere because it's not here!

User Rating: 5.5 | WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger PC
I have to agree with the previous game reviewer. T34 vs Tiger tries to be a great tank sim we have all been waiting for but falls short with many bad things.

First, there are only six missions for each side - Soviets and Germans. I personally like playing as the Germans because they were the under dogs of the war. For single player this game gets a low score. The missions are short and only have one main objective that is quickly accomplished.

The internal part of the tank is well detailed. You can switch between driver, gunner, commander positions and the AI controls where your not present in the tank. However, speaking of the AI - it's stupid and if you try to depend on it during a battle your going to surely die. So here's my advice - micro-manage the tank positions meaning drive when you need to get somewhere, command when you need a top view of the battlefield or for eye candy and immersion and shoot when you see a enemy tank/ATT gun. It's really that simple.

The game runs smooth on older systems like mine and the graphic/sound/control settings can be altered to your liking. The graphics are average for today's standards if not a little behind the time but the game runs smoothly with at high settings on low-range cpu's.

The game sound is fair and guns sound decent, voice acting is annoying but nothing terrible. Ambient sounds are few and far between to notice much.

Multiplayer is what I believe, this game was designed for since it's lack of single player missions. The skrimish mode is nice but has some major bugs. One is where the AI Tiger tank bots don't spawn on the battlefield so if your playing as Germany and need Allies to help you - forget it. The other major bug is joining a online game or to create one. As far as I know it's still broken so you can't join or host a multiplayer game other than LAN in skrimish.

As with Steel Fury, this game should never have been released in the condition it is currently in but with Light House Interactive most likely in the need of money during these hard economic times they have pushed these games right out the door to easy prey like myself.

All in all, if you are dreaming of a awesome WWII tank sim you've always wanted look elsewhere because it's no where to be found here. Good Luck!
