Worms is one of the best Xbox Live Arcade games to date! It definitely maintains the fun factor of the franchise.

User Rating: 7.8 | Worms X360
It's a bit tricky to categorize Worms, but at best it's an action/war-game, with none other than militant worms as your playable characters. No story lines, no cut-scenes, this is just a direct, pick up and play arcade version of the franchise, made exclusively for XBLA.

Graphics- Nothing too great to find in the graphics, the colors and textures are pretty nice for a 2D game, and at some instances the backgrounds are 3D. The worms themselves all look the same, but that doesn't need to be emphasized to add to the game's graphical value. Overall, it stands on it's own to be decent.

Sound- The 360 iteration of Worms sounds just okay. There is a lot of humor to be found with worm's voices. You can even decide from a wide selection of languages for your little buddies to speak during battle (i.e. Dutch, Czech, French, etc.). The sound effects of firing weapons are crisp. As far as the soundtrack is concerned, redundant, but you probably may not even pay much attention to it in the first place.

Gameplay- This is where the game shines. Original worms gameplay. Turn-based team combat. There's a decent array of weapons, from air strikes, to homing missiles, uzis and shotguns. It's a lot of fun to just experiment with these tools of destruction on opposing worms, although that may sound a bit cruel. The battlefields vary with an abundant number of blockades and platforms, like surfboards, and ice-capped walls, which allows the gameplay to appeal more diverse. The sheer gameplay in worms is what makes this download worthy.

Value- A decent level of replay value. With Xbox Live capapbility, destroy other people's worms online. The single player challenge mode is pretty fun. Additionally, the achievements are pretty fun to unlock.

Overall, Worms for XBLA is a worthy download. While it lacks a bit of graphic and sound appeal, the gameplay offers hours of fun. It contends as one of the best XBLA titles out there!
