Worms is definitely one of those games you may find at first a complete write off, but with extended playing you suddenly find yourself wasting more time on it then you originally intended forgoing eating, sleeping, and so forth.
Reminiscent of Lemmings, control your worm army to destroy the competition with fun and destructive weapons (including exploding sheep). As you get more comfortable in the game you begin to really understand how to utilize the weapons fully. The challenge mode is truly just that and really helps develop your worm destroying skills.
If you are a fan of the game Cannons, Multiplayer for worms allows you to create fun scenarios like "grenade only" wars to truly show your mathematical skills in understanding angles. While there is not always a ton of people on multiplayer, you usually can find a few people on-line to start a quick game.
Since this game comes as part of the 512mb memory card, it's like you got a free entertainment for a few hours.
