There are mixed feeling about this game. If everyone knows how to play, it's got a highly addictive multiplayer mode.

This game is probably most like: Worms Armageddon

Unlike the other worms, this one requires more strategy then usual.

Aside from aiming, and power; you also have to build a fort.
You have to have a strategy for building, because you can only build next to other buildings (that you own) to link them, yet if your links aren't inter-twined, then one building could destroy all the others.
err..you probably have to play it to understand it better.

I'd say that the best part about the game are the weapons. Flying "Super Hippo", "Old Woman", "Fridge Launcher", "Trebuchet" (which launches a moose), and so many other hilarious weapons.
The only negative thing I can say about the weapons is that you have to build better buildings, to fire better weapons; which I consider a good thing, because it adds more strategy and gives the building purpose.

Unfortunately this is a very glitchy game. Shot's sometimes go through geometry. Of course there's clipping, but they try to control clipping so hard, that a spec of geometry could stop a worm, or a weapon in it's place. You can't set the level of the computer in story mode, so sometimes they're like a retarded gorilla, firing a bazooka at point blank range, and missing; while other times, they're like professional snipers, firing a granade from the opposite side of the map, and hitting you in the face. So yea, totally random AI for story mode, but at least you can control the AI for multiplayer games, that is if you even care to have CPUs in multiplayer.
Fans of the older worms, will be disappointed because unlike the old worms, the envirionment can't be destroyed, only your opponents buildings.
My biggest beef about this game, is the fact that my roommates were 3 levels from beating the game, and the file erased. It wasn't the Xbox, because all the other game files were still there. Just the Worms Forts: Under Siege was erased.

In my opinion, they didn't do a thorough check in the QA section, partically multiplayer part. They really needed to test the game a little more.

On the postive side
+ Addictive multiplayer
+ Levels look nice
+ Weapons are HILARIOUS.

On the negative side
- Quite a few geometry problems.
- Large learning curve for a game that originally was an aim and shoot game.
- Randomly easy/hard AI in Story mode.
- You can't destroy the environments!

My only suggestion is that you should rent it, and play with your friends; if you don't like it, then play some of the older worms, like Worms Armageddon.
