Well I got this as a dlc from the psn and wasn't dissapointed at all. I used to play it on the pc back in the day when it was popular. It of course spawned its own sequel and later doom. From there ID went from strength to strength with their games.

For those of you who have the new wolfenstein game on ps3, if you download this and get one trophy the game gives you $1000 to spend in the new game for weapon upgrades. So its worth getting the DLC alone for that.

Its the game that started the FPS games of today. Wolf 3d is the grandfather of the genre and should not be forgotten. Thank to ID it is now immortalised forever on the psn.

For those of you who missed wolf 3d, I suggest you get it and see what was responsible for the FPS craze in the 90's. There were many games after wolf 3d that even suprised me with what they could do with a FPS perspective. Doom was more or less a clone of wolf 3d, it was quake that really changed things with what a game engine could do. Of course after the quake series of games we were treated to unreal which pushed the benchmark of that genre. Now of course we have games that have out surpassed unreal.
