Gamespot still hates Nintendo

User Rating: 9 | Wii Fit Plus WII
Wii fit plus is basicly the same game as the original game plus some extra features. It's user-friendly priced at 20 euros.
you get all the content from the original; yoga, fitness, aerobic- and balancegames plus 3 new yoga exercises, 3 new fitness exercises and 12 new games (aerobic, fitness and golf). Also you can now switch more easily between players, keep track of the calories you' re burning and create a fitness- and yogaroutine, which is great for daily practise.
After i started doing yoga on the original wii-fit i began doing yoga at the local fitness centre. i still do both.
there are some differences between doing yoga on the wii-fit and with a real teacher. first there is the flow of the exercises. with real yoga you' ll be doing a palm tree pose and then from there go the king of the dance pose, where on the wii you' ll do one pose after another, they do not flow into another.
secondly with real yoga a teacher says what poses you are to do. You' ll be standing on your head for instance, a pose not included on the wii-fit.
finally, when you are practising alongside other people you'll find yourself working harder to impress the, in my case beautiful, teacher.
still, it was wii-fit that got me doing yoga in the first place, it' s great for practise and you can do it every day.
wii-fit plus got a 7.5 on this site, where the original got a 7. Also Zelda spirit tracks, while being praised in the video review only got a 8.5. i think it' s safe to say gamespot still hates Nintendo.
i read this article that the Japanese government is trying to stimulate some good old customs from before the second world war. These included getting up early and doing exercises. The Japanese are doing this out of nationalist feelings. also i saw this film about Japanese occupied Indonesia where the local inhabitants were instructed by radio to do exercises.
i can imagine some may find this to be a bit threatening.
