Watch Dogs for Xbox360

User Rating: 7 | Watch Dogs X360

Watch Dogs was an extremely hyped anticipation for numerous gamers this year. It is a third person, open world adventure/stealth game that takes place in a modern Chicago setting. Overall, the graphics are very well done, and the controls feel nice. It is fun to use your smart phone in the game to secretly profile everyone and "see through" the layers of the city. The main mission of the game feels very one dimensional and did very little to draw me into the story on a personal level. I would compare many of the categorized main missions comparable to "side missions" of other open world games on the market. They are very short lived and often very easy. The open world aspect of the game is very large and easily accessible even early on in the game, but there aren't many areas of the map you can later come to feel at home or thereby interact with. It's very hard to explain unless you put a lot of time into the game. You just don't feel connected to the world in the way you would to other similar open world games that have a lot of success. I guess the most appropriate word for the feel of this game is "disconnected", which is what many buyers of this game aren't ready to experience. This is not a great alternative to a game like GTA5, or even Assassins Creed. The game is good, but not great. I think most players will have more fun playing the built in cell phone games you can access when you get bored of Watch Dogs Chicago.
