Maybe it's just me but.....

***MINOR SPOILER ALERT****
I've played a lot of sandbox games in my day and this one would have been awesome 5 years ago but I'm only in Chapter 3 and I'm already bored with this game. I play the PC version so the graphics are an 8...beautiful lighting and decent physics but next gen...NOT!!! Try watching an Unreal 5 tech demo and you'll see more next gen in 2 minutes then you see in this entire game. The driving for instance is not really fun because the cars are either too fast to control or the handling is too twitchy. Sony's Sleeping Dogs had better control physics as did Just Cause 2 than this game which is really frustrating because this game has a lot of driving missions which I despise simply because they're not fun. The ability to hack the lights and street blocking poles looks more fun than it really is because the car is so difficult to control and you have so many options to hack it becomes a brain drain and eventually boring. Next, is the whole hacking gimmick which is what was really appealing to me, but even this with all it offers becomes tiresome and clunky after a while and my suspension of disbelief falls flat simply because the premise is so unrealistic...yes it's cool for a while but even when you pull up your phone you never see any real hacking tools just mini game apps or the lousy music utility and free car delivery system...in fact the best app is when you can go on digital acid trips which is mildly amusing the first time...I'm not expecting"realistic" by any means but even if your not a techie most of us who would consider purchasing this game have seen enough hi tech movies to know what is involved in hacking systems and this game makes it appear so simplistic as to be boring and silly. I mean come on, just because you can profile an individual doesn't mean you gain access and can crack peoples secured banking info or blow bad guys cell phones up and cause black outs city wide by hacking a transformer...its simply not possible and therefore completely unrealistic. I really wanted to like this game but sadly it feels like every other GTA clone and not the greatest new IP ever that was sold to us. In Ubisoft's favor and too everyone's detriment I think the most basic reason it fails ,to me anyways, is dumbing it down for consoles and casual gaming. Trying to appeal to so many different kind of gamers has made this a vanilla gaming experience and not the interesting and exciting premise it tried to sell us. It's not the next best thing it promised but it is fairly entertaining for a while and has some different game mechanics that could have been really fun had they not limited this by making it a giant button mashing sandbox game. Stick with what you know best Ubisoft and figure out who your trying to appeal too or you may just fade into mediocrity.
