DoW2 starts out as a worthy sequel, but gets dragged down by repetitive and boring missions.

The game truly is only "alright". The single player rocks for the first few hours or so. But once you realize the game doesn't involve any base building whatsoever and that the missions are all on the same maps, it all goes downhill from there.

It really gets tiring to defend the same locations over and over again. Especially knowing that you might have to do this again in an hour or so.

On the other hand, the weapon upgrades and level up system are really cool though. It made the game last that much longer for me. Yet not by much.

The voice acting and sound effects are also really well done. I loved the machine gun fire paired up with some high bass, made the whole house rumble!

Overall the game is decent. It would probably appeal a lot more to hardcore fans of the previous game, or to people who actually play online. But for single player affectionados like myself, the game falls short in the long run. I couldn't find much motivation to keep on playing after the first few hours.
