Just a solid good fun rts & rpg wrapped in one package. The story is good too with a nice non linear campaign.
This game had a slight change in mechanics compared to previous DoW games however it was a refreshing chance in a market full of rts clones. Loot drops bring back memories of Diablo 2 and wanting to get the best kit for your guys. The customization is a nice touch to so you can play the squads how you want.
Visuals are really nice, the scroll detail is good too, the art style is cool as well having the orks as slightly cartoony but also pretty mean looking worked well.
Sound effects were great, it sounded how you'd imagine combat in the 40 000th century might sound although i did have issues with sound cutting and crackling on a soundcard setup (might have been a motherboard soundcard, not sure not that much of a techie) however once this issue was sorted the sound came through great with no problems.
All in all i found it a good fun to play game.
