One of the best fighting games for PC and it's a great,technical fighting game.
VF2 works well for PC because it only requires 3 buttons and the characters don't jump around a lot.But this is still one of the most technical fighting games around.
Defense is a very important part of this game,because special moves will remove most of your health.But being too defensive is bad because it will allow you to be body slammed easily.You'll need to attack in a strategic way and time your attacks so you don't get countered with special moves and so you'll be in position to block your opponent's attacks.
The game uses a punch,kick,block button.
The normal attacks,combos and special moves are easy to do(even with a keyboard)but you will have to use them in strategic ways and time them well.You will need to position your character well and try to outthink them and use the scissors,paper,rock system well.
The characters all have good diversity in fighting style and speed.There's the slow moving wrestler characters who will try to get close enough to perform wrestling moves on you.Lau is a character who has fast hand speed but his special moves are not as good.Akira has some powerful special moves,but he isn't as fast as other characters.Lion's punching style allows him to hit his opponents with open palm blows before they can attack him.Kage is very agile Ninja character.Some characters are specialist counter attackers.Jacky is probably the most balanced all round character(decent but not spectacular in terms of speed,attack power,special moves).
You can even fight underwater and it makes moving slower and it's different.
You cannot change the difficulty options,but the opponents are not too difficult,their difficulty level is perfect.You will need to be technical and strategic to win,and if you are,you have a good chance of winning.
The graphics are smooth and colorful for their time and have a nice artstyle.I like how the palm trees,ocean,sunset,look and how you'll see things such as lightning in the background and detailed paving and martial arts buildings and lush forest etc.
The announcer sounds loud and the music is loud,fast,exciting and gives the game a nice arcade feel.The music can also be peaceful and relaxing when you're fighting in the forest.
Overall,this is one of the most technical fighting games around,it's a great fighting game and it's a great fighting game for the PC,especially since the PC doesn't have much choices for fighting games.
