We get more cars, more special moves, and more arenas to blow up? Sweet!

User Rating: 9.9 | Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense PS
We all remember Vigilante 8, and some of us probably still play it. What I can tell you is that if you liked that game, you'll like this one. This time you get 18 (yes, 18!) cars to choose from, with a whole array of classic and new special moves to use. The arenas are generally bigger than the original Vigilante 8's arenas, and are very exciting and fun to play in. The game also now has a flamethrower as a weapon, along with all of the original weapons. All weapons also have 3 combo moves now, as opposed to only 2. Below is a list of characters in the game (possible spoilers):

Vigilantes:

Convoy
Sheila
Houston (formerly Houston 3)
Team FAST
John Torque
Dave's Cultsmen (yes, the special move is still flying saucers)

Coyotes:

Lord Clyde (formerly Slick Clyde)
Boogie
Molo (still driving a bus with toxic fumes)
Nina Loca
Obake
Dallas 13

Drifters:

Chassey Blue
Dusty 'Earth'
Agent R. Chase
Bob. O
Garbage Man
Padre Destino

All cars in the game can now be upgraded to look futuristic/better. What makes this game even better? If you have the original Vigilante 8 disc, you can insert it into your systen during gameplay while the system is paused and unlock all of the classic arenas. It's awesome to be able to go back to Valley Farms in your new suped-up vehicles. One problem I had with the game was that my favorite character from the original Vigilante 8 is not in it: Beezwax. Aside from that, this is an awesome game and a sequel that's even better than the first. Below is a list of the arenas in the game:

Arizona (if you blow up the observatory, you can fight mutant ants!)
Florida (NASA Space Center)
Alaska (Oil Pipelines)
Utah (you can play in the winter games to win specials and powerups)
Minnesota (nuclear power plant)
Louisiana (dark, creepy swamp with gators waiting to be trapped)
California (the pacific harbor)
Pennsylvania (A Steel Mill with a train running around the arena)

I hope this review has helped you with your decision and convinced you to buy this game. Sincerely, RedHawk4.
