I saw the slim Vita at GamesCom and I own an "original" Vita system. I much prefer the older version and unlike the reviewers in this video, I really noticed that the old OLED screen looks much sharper/clearer than the new slim LED screen. I wasn't just me that felt that either, there were loads of other people who had the same opinion. So, like so often, I don't trust the so-called "professional" reviewers because what they are saying certainly doesn't match with what I saw first-hand myself.
I just don't get the point of the Vita TV. I understand the features it brings but why take a portable unit, strip it of everything that makes it portable. Seems those who would be interested in playing Vita games on TV are the ones who already have a Vita? Why not just add LAN/HDMI out option to the new Vita so people can use it on the go or on a TV as they choose?
I'm not a Vita owner but those to who are would it be worth $50 price drop if they removed a touch screen, $100 drop if they removed both? In other words do you guys use the touch screen enough to warrant or is it just nice to have ?
Love seeing our local AU guys mixing it up with the US and UK guys at these events.
Vita TV is an interesting budget option for households with multiple TVs and/or kids wanting to game at the same time.
ah reléase it now!!! ahh that grey colored or was it dark Brown anyway jsut wating till it gets here!!! really good to hear thiese news!!! ahh rifaaaaaaado!!!! sal ya!!!!
@ChiefFreeman In every way except for the games. So not really better at all.
@Numbuh277 I've really been enjoying mine since i picked it up. The games library is definitely growing, and it the option of playing some fantastic older games such as persona 3, I'd say it's easily worth the money.
@WimpMiester you can play vita games on the PS3 with your vita :)
@WimpMiester I'd like to play Vita games but I don't want to play on a portable. I guess I will purchase the Vita TV instead. I also want a device that will basically give me a 2nd PS4 in my house at a cheap price.
@bubba_1988 I would prefer to not have the touch screen, but unfortunately removing it would make certain vita games unplayable at this point.
@bubba_1988 Oh you definitely do. You pretty much have to operate the entire menu interface through touch controls.
There are also super gimmicky touch controls in games like Soul Sacrifice...those we can all do without.
@mrintro The overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Vita TV in the west has already made Sony reconsidering launching it in North America, which they originally had no plans to do.
@mrintro To keep us informed just in case we might want to know what is up and how they feel about it.
@trollkind Don't do it, it's going to the be slim vita in all it's cheap glory. Aim for a vita during black friday and you won't go wrong.
@kye-mc Catch 22: It need more people using it, so developers will make games for it
@Bahamut50 man that sucks! I look at various parts of my room and I see lots and lots of games for the different consoles I own, that's why I love those consoles, cause I have many games for each, if all I had was 1 game like that, I'd rather sell both game and console xP
@RiKanKiDD I do love it for I bought my vita for $150 with 2 games and sold the whole thing for $287, sweet!
@RiKanKiDD I brought it already back within a day, could not be used without internet connection sony want to spy on people with there new spy app
@RiKanKiDD I loved it, sold some 3ds games i had to buy some more vita games. However i don't just sell consoles, so i still have mah 3ds.
@Bangerman15 I want that on the PS3, big screen gamer here
@Bangerman15 You will have to import it
@Meta-Gnostic But a Vita should be able to do all that if it had LAN/HDMI out.
@Bahamut50 @RiKanKiDD This is the correct way. Never sell the consoles...especially when they're still getting developers support.
