Top New Games Releasing This Week On Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, And 3DS -- May 13-20

This week is packed with new editions of Hyrule Warriors, Hitman, Dragon's Crown, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.

I'll level with you: this week's lineup is 80% re-releases. The good news is that if you never played Hyrule Warriors on Wii U or Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey on DS, you can now experience the definitive versions of those games. Hitman: Definitive Edition also packages together the best the assassination simulator has to offer, while Dragon's Crown Pro looks better than ever on PS4. As for original new games, you can also dig into Wizard of Legend this week.

Hitman: Definitive Edition -- May 15

Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC

Agent 47's latest mission takes him all over the world, and the Definitive Edition comes with the bonus summer episode, extending your globetrotting adventure. It also includes the Blood Money Requiem Pack, plus some brand-new cosmetic items based on other IO Interactive franchises, like Freedom Fighters and Kane & Lynch. Looking sharp, 47.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux -- May 15

Available on: 3DS

This JRPG is making the leap from DS to 3DS, and with that comes a much better-looking version of the game, thanks to new character artwork. You can also battle new demons, explore an extra dungeon, and aim for one of the new additional endings. Given the hardcore nature of the series though, it's understandable if getting there takes a few tries.

Dragon's Crown Pro -- May 15

Available on: PS4

Dragon's Crown already had a beautiful 2D look, but now the action-RPG looks even better with enhanced artwork--with up to 4K resolution if you've got a PS4 Pro. The soundtrack has also been re-recorded with a live orchestra. Perhaps most importantly, if your friends aren't upgrading, you can still play online multiplayer with them across the PS3 and Vita versions.

Wizard of Legend -- May 15

Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch

Wizard of Legend is all about spell combinations: choose from over 100 magical effects and chain them together to devastate your enemies. You can lay it on twice as heavy with a friend in local co-op too. It looks fast, frantic, and fantastical.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition -- May 18

Available on: Switch

The musou action from the Wii U and 3DS games is getting an upgrade, plus new Breath of the Wild costumes from Link's latest adventure. Of course, you can also slice and dice through enemies using every previously released character, with a handy magical fairy at your side, lifted right from the 3DS version's My Fairy Mode.
