I had to keep a jar of salt handy after what the one guy said about 4K TVs. Even if they sell by a factor of 100-1 in 2 years as compared to know, it will still be a very rare item. The prices will still be too high for an average middle class family.
So lets suppose that somebdy decided to buy a 4K TV in about 2 years, What will the picture quality look like compared to Blu-Ray? The same! Just because your TV has a shitload of pictures, they will not be utilized until movies are rendered in 4K. That's a LOT of data space and gear improvements which most publishers will simply not even consider paying for. In 2 years, my guess would be that you may see maybe a dozen major films released in 4K per year.
And as for there being lots of games being played in 4K 2 years from now? That's even more ludicrous. AC4 is NOT a 4k game, it's an HD game with some 4K tectures. BIG difference. You can write off this entire console era right off the bat. Maybe in 5 or 6 years you'll start to see triple-A quality games in 4K, but expect a lot of complaining in the early days about frame rates. It'll be Crysis circa 2007 all over again.
