Titanfall Video Preview: More Than Just Call of Duty With Mechs

Apart from the awesome dashing its COD but instead of farming kills to earn different killstreaks you do it to call in Titans.

multiple level combat is done by battlefield with vehicles, but this makes it more close ranged and fast paced which looks like a winning formula.

Black ops 2 Mech DLC. Don't get me wrong it looks cool and I'm excited, but don't tell me this doesn't look and play just like COD

I have a few reservations about this game:

1. It's published by Electronic Arts.

2. Just how good is the AI going to be? AI in FPS aren't traditionally great are they?

3. How many game modes are there? Do any of these game modes offer anything new which hasn't been tried and tested on games like Call of Duty and Battlefield?

4. How many maps will be available at launch?

5. Just how much of this game will be wrapped up in DLC?

6. The graphics don't impress me, they look on first impressions no better than the graphics of MW2 which is over four years old.

No way am I firstly pre-ordering this, secondly paying a premium for it and lastly buying any season passes or DLC packs. The unbelievable hype being generated by this game stinks of someone paying reporters off. 6v6 = no fun. Bots are for training. Levels all look the same. Weapons seem meh. Titans, OK some interesting stuff there that might be fun. However compare this game to the last Unreal Tournament and it's not doing much different. Remember this is suppose to be fresh IP with next gen gameplay and I'm just not seeing that.

Looks like fun, if/when MS puts out the kinect-less One, might be time to pick one up. Of course I could crank up the dusty ole 360 'til then.

This is how we should feel about a game for new gen !

If you look at a game and feel like " ok, seems nice" You are already accepting that this is an "OK" game, just a cool game !

All exclusive new gen games should feel like "wow, how awesome is that !" all the time !

It's unacceptable to believe this game is so hyped if there's nothing to add at all !!!

There are plenty of games that you fight not only walking at walls, but completely up side down !

Examples: Dead Space, Dark Void, Inversion, etc...

When I look at this game, I feel like "ok, I could play it" .... don't you see people ? You are all being influenced by phrases like "Titanfall introduces multi level combat system".... Where is the "MULTI" ????????????????????

I was fallowing some gameplay at Twitch, it really looks like a COD mech mixup, some kind of BO 2.2 looking forward for evolve....

Titanfall looks boring:

Every mecha, every soldier looks the same from design; as well as color; furthermore the mechas look like outdated versions, therefore 'uncool'.

Besides, I like gears more - e.g. the ones from Xenogears. Futuristic design, many different color flavors.

No single player campaign? No way..

It is still the same old engine, isn't it? Oh man...

I hope there are more match types then the ones shown in the video? I can this game being riddled with DLC, buy new games modes, buy new map packs etc. It's bad enough giving EA your money once, let alone countless times.

Well, guys no need to worry, this game is built upon the Source Engine... Xbox One, Xbox 360 or PC will look almost the same, only the gameplay might be a bit affected.

Now for the idea, I kinda like this various mix of different aspects and elements, it kinda remembers me a mix of Mirrors Edge + Call of Duty + Battlefield 2142, the only worries I got is if all this different gameplay elements can get all the freedom and balance necessary to make it worth playing as an Titan or as an Soldier.

Maybe EA will offer a single player campaign mode as free dlc!

I give it a month before it's overrun with campers.

Does it have LAN? Since it has bots already it shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise no reason to buy it.
