In my opinion
the current state of the game is spend lots of money to buy the best available
in-game ship and you will have a lot of fun. this not only smacks of elitism
but also pay to win .
However at 100 Euros
plus for this ship it feels like the big spenders are getting a better deal and
game experience whilst most of the Backers are getting screwed over,
Because frankly the new update has practically rendered all of the cheaper ship
packages useless and non competitive in
any of the current multi player game modes and I get the strong impression that
the development team are not fully testing other ships to see if the balance is
right before releasing and update .
However as the
Fanboi people will claim it is only an Alpha test stage and things will change
but remember they have had a lot of backers paying good money to pay for the
privilege of playing what has currently been released and I think they should
be entitled to have as much fun as someone who has spent more money on a better
ship and currently that is not the case.
If I was working
for the publicity department of star citizen there would be Alarm bells ringing
that this will leak out to competitors and potential backers who might think
I posted this
opinion on the forum only to have it removed within seconds of posting so it
would seem the developers don’t like bad publicity

i actually regret buying star citizen after watching this video. the game plays like shit and the controls are like straight from war thunder.
TBH I find it like some small arcade game, I just cant see the depth of the gameplay.
looks good. people that think their being too ambitious just need to look at games like GTA V or Guild Wars 2. Star Citizen is aiming to be a game of a similar scope and budget. the game is still early in development but its nice to see it evolving.
they need to focus on one thing at a time i think i'd rather get excited about a mor eimproved base game than a early stage racing mode
Looks... really boring, honestly. I think I would have more fun doing it with a big tanker ship that could barely fit through the gates.
Not hating and IK that they will work on this, but that atmospheric flight model needs some serious work. Looked fantastic regardless, I usually suck at any sort of racing games/modes, but they are always fun regardless.
jaw dropping graphics, space exploration, planet exploration, huge ass spaceships to explore, ariel fights, ground fights, racing modules, and a star trek like story.........this is the game that we deserved, and the one that we need right now. *_*
Racing mode might be very popular, considering you don't get the sense of the speed in space due to lack of references, but a close quarter racing would be great to show off the fast pacing of the game, very interesting.

They need to work more on that level, Seems like hes going slow, taking his time.

@nikaas Well AC is kinda an arcade game Withen the SC world and this is part of that, Though I dont think raceing will change much in the full game, As for the flight you have to play in order to get a feel for it, with G-force affecting your pilot and your ship haveing mass and conservation of momentum being a thing Piloting actualy has a really high skill ceiling
@Zloth2 Considering the flight model, and actually having other people in the air, I think it would be extremely fun. Can't wait to do it through some asteroid belts.
@Smosh150 well I still wouldnt expect atmo to work just like normal plane flight, your still mostly being propeled and turned by big ass thrusters after all.
@Smosh150 "needs some work" not only is this pre-alpha, but it is pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha. This is the first working code for the race model, obviously it's still gonna need some work.
@Smosh150 yeah it seemed like the ship diddnt respond when trying to turn or pull up
@Kokkks Yea there was some bad lag with our capture device, hence the dodgy controls. Apologies.
@vadagar1 If this was useing the new flight model it could make it harder, boosting to top speed and then drifting off the Track at a turn because your movement thrusters dont have the stringth needed to stop you quickly
@madcat_mikie @Smosh150 I understand that, I said that in my comment and also own the game. I was just meaning that is most definitely not ready, was just sharing what I thought.
@alexbartle @Smosh150 That's because they had comstab turned off which is for inertia correction. Turning it off means they should turn way earlier to "drift" around the corner.
