GS News - Wii U price cut, 2DS announced and PS4 has POWER

Man, how much does it suck to be restricted to play all these 3DS games in 2D. It's equivalent to playing XBOne or PS4 games in 480P only. What a waste that is; buying a game when you can't use it's main feature.

why, if your going to make it not fold or make it 3d, would you still have two stupid little screens and not make one larger nice screen?..... waiiiiitttttt because then it becomes a tablet.... New comment: why not just buy a tablet that is the same size but has a lovely screen for all that real estate.....

Nintendo has always been on the cutting edge of ridiculous gaming devices.. the power glove.. the robot.. the Virtual Boy.. the 2DS is no different... that Gameboy Micro as well.. just another Nintendo product i don't need to buy..

If the 2ds is aimed towards kids, then it still seems too expensive to be successful. And being pocket friendly is a feature that people really respond to. The 2ds looks like it will require cargo pants. OOH, theres a marketing strategy, free cargo pants!

The 2DS is only the second stupidest thing I've ever seen. Blops 2 and Minecraft tie for first.

We just got a crap ton of release dates for Nintendo games this holiday season. Seriously, Nintendo already won this holiday season. Pokemon alone will sell millions of copies right out of the gate.

cutting out the unnecessary 3d for a lower pricepoint on the 2ds was a great idea; making it that big and unable to fold.. was not.

glad to see a Wii U pricecut, but I'll still be holding out for a decent library.

as for the ps4's power taking a few years to unlock, that's not really news. it always takes a few years to bring out a systems full potential.

2DS is just for kids. I can't see any other reason for it's existence. It is cheaper and more durable so kids wont break it by dropping it. Also because the folding screen is gone they can't snap it in half. Because of these safety features/protections to the console, it looks like absolute crap.

It sounds like the guy giving a speech in the FF Realm Reborn promo says,"We must become the life blood of Aorta", I LOL'ed. I know the world is called Eorzea but it was how it sounded.

Hopefully Square won't feel so bad about making an HD 2D Kingdom Hearts DDD for rerelease later on with this new 2Ds gibberish. Looks like the 3D is dying. Next Nintendo nextgen handheld = Vita clone I bet.

All consoles take a few years to reach more potential. Hence better games each year, graphic and performance wise.

2DS smart move really, only very few games looks great with 3D & its cheaper. Is the screen size XL version or the original smaller size? I'd get one if its XL size screen. lol who was that said there's no price drop for Wii U? :P No surprise all new system needs time to figure out...for Sony themselves they may find it longer..for 3rd parties whom are already use to PC architecture..it will happen alot quicker. :)

Nintendo want to up sales? Ditch the region lock on the 3ds and people would actually buy more, problem solved.

I am pretty sure the same BS was said for the PS2 and PS3 before release...the "TRUE POWER" is still to be tapped by developers!...lol...even tho PS3 cant even handle 2 Eyepets on a screen without crumbling into stuttering dust.

There are a bunch of 3ds games I want play but I have yet to want to shell out $170 for a 3ds. I was going to bite the bullet on October 12 so i could play pokemon, but now with the 2ds I will just get that. I dont care about 3d or flipping and I rather like the design. So at $130 I say it is a bargain to be able to play pokemon X, Shin Megegami Tensei IV, A link between worlds, Fire Emblem, OOT 3ds, star fox 3ds, super mario land 3d,animal crossing new leaf, and more.

Wii U price cut is a positive step because the gamers who want immediate access to gaming library with affordbility is what Nintendo is aiming for, it is quite possible that gamers who are enthusiast console collectors, might be adding Wii U in the shelf while PS4 true power is exactly going to be harnessed the way PS3 utilized its power in the games e.g. Uncharted Series, The Last of Us vice versa. and I still don't know what I will be doing with the mini mario gadget :/ , good for little folks, a true distraction from home work though.
