I think the problem with having a religious video game to entice people into religion, is that it's trying too hard. If they made a good video game that isn't really about religion, that has a sympathetic character who is religious, I think that would do better to entice people to be religious, because you'd want to emulate that character.

I think it would be a problem if every single game ever would feature hyper sexualized women, but I don't get why it's such a huge deal if some games have them. It's always strange arguments against it also. As if no women in real life are hyper sexual.

Sure religion has a place in gaming, gaming is expression and art, so if the devs wanna include it go nuts. Games often try to appeal to absolutely everything with a wallet, but the aren't required to. That said, the second question about it being any good is completely valid, if the game isn't good, it isn't good, but those two questions aren't mutually inclusive.

As an aside, to Jess, I am not sure why you are tweaking your speaking cadence but for what my opinion is worth, I prefer your more natural one. It was odd this week with you speaking slower and more methodically, and felt artificial to someone who has heard how you have normally spoken in the past. Sure whatever. However they won't mix well since a lot of gamers are probably used to their religious grandmother screaming at them telling them they should stop playing video games in the first place. There might be a grudge against it since the audiences don't seem to "jive" well together.

Even at a $500 entry price I would wait for a price drop. That's way too high of an entry price for a 'console' that is just entering the market. I know they've been a software based company for a while now but this being their first piece of hardware...are they really expecting a large market of consumers that will pay that much for a glorified prototype?

Religion and games, of course it makes sense! Games use myths all the time like the God of War series, I don't see a problem with using modern myths like the Christian mythology for use in games.

ultimately games are a medium designed for a little escapism and to delve into ideas that are unfounded in reality. so i think a religious game based on the bible fits in perfectly. Wouldnt be buying buying it myself as i can,t imagine it will be much fun never being allowed to fight anyone and simply delivering messages for 100+ hours
