GS News - Reddit Come to Xbox One, GTA V Takes Flight!
The ReddX app has brought the front page of the internet to Xbox One, Grand Theft Auto Online is taking off with a Flight School update, and Shadow of Mordor DLC is on the way.
EVA, Mitsuro, Grune, Cortana, Tifa, Nina, Kerrigan, Kairi, Jade, Alyx, Nariko, Jill, Ellie, Jodie, Katherine, Elizabeth, Madison Paige, Lightning, Aya, Meryl, Sniper Wolf, Lara, Bayonetta, Liara, Lulu, Samus, Miranda, Fran, Kaileena, Aeris, Rachel, Sophitia, Elena Fisher, Trish and LUCY!
Whoever this girl is, is far better then Jess...Jess is HORRIBLE and not even "nice to look" at like some people complain about the presenters getting too good looking....too good looking, they have chicken beak, Queen of Air-heads...Jess working for them, so clearly they don't have nothing but good looking hosts and have you seen Danny, not really spitting example of "pretty" but Danny does a very good job overall though, Jess is just horrible. Nails on a chalk board horrible.
its happening to Gamespot what happened to Mtv in the late 90s. Its all about the shows and the nice looking presenters with British accents now. I need a website with good old school nerds that know what they are talking about.
I know it's 'just a game' but still showing a head getting chopped off(2:30) after what happened overnight seems rather grim, especially when you consider the dreggy nutcase who done that poor Foley matey had a strong London accent.
Sort it out Gamespot eh!
First, welcome Lucy!
Rockstar must be desperate to sell those shark cards. Why else would they turn out such a stink bomb of an 'update'. This has to go down as the WORST online DLC 'update' yet.
Been watching Ginx tv and The Blurb that lucy presents in the uk. Lucy is a very talented presenter. It would be great to see Lucy more on gamespot.
Quick wit, funny phrases, less head-swaying, a proper nerdy cute-as-a-button presenter....not saying that the original presenter or the one over at IGN aren't up to the mark, they are good, it's just that Lucy did a helluva better job than them....good one !!!
"Pimp your parachutes....lol"
OK I really had enough of it, what's wrong with gamespot's video player? I can barely watch this: the GSNEWS logo coming in with a 10fps, everything stutters, even here lip jumps and doesn't move in sync. Something is messing up with GS player, anyone else having this?
This all started like 2 weeks ago.
I have no problems watching the exactly same videos from gamespot in Youtube - they are like 10 times smoother there. Also no problems with videos in others sites.
If anyone else have this and found a fix, please let me know.
What's wrong with gamespot's video player being so jumpy, stutters and not as smooth as it used to be? Did they remove the 60fps player they used to have? This looks like 20fps vid.
Everyone acts like getting attracted to a girl is something weird.....good job though, its nice to see new faces
@klugenbeel Dude, you're f*cking horrible. Unbelievable.
@klugenbeel lol who is this d0uche? Jess McDonnell is hot and personable
@klugenbeel Those are some ugly words coming out of your pretty mouth honeybunch.
@Starsailor_IT What make's you think they don't know what they're talking about? Just because they look "nice"? You can not answer this question, you don't know these people personally.
@Starsailor_IT Because good old school nerds can't be good looking or have British accents. Must be pimply-faced Americans.
@fredwilkins What? It's free, it's fun, the jet is cool. What don't you like?
@UrbanTracker I agree, but I love both Jess and Lucy. I don't like how the comments sections seems to always pit female presenters against each other. This shows a serious issue, especially when they're related to their physical attractiveness (not saying this applies to your post, tho).
Both bring unique styles, I think. The fact that they can't co-exist is puzzling.
@GunEye Yeah, there player has some issues from time to time. Though I hadn't had any problems with their news show yet. Try turning the quality from automatic to whatever you like. Sometimes it helps.
@GunEye On the iPad it's almost unwatchable too. Video shifts around after the ad is shown, as soon as the advert finishes the play button appears even though the video is playing, so I have to pause it and press play again just to get rid of the icon. The comments section is also unreadable, with overlapping boxes and seemingly random characters floating around the screen (that is, if it even loads at all.)
Just found out that I only have these problems with the video player stuttering on Google Chrome. Could it be something related to Adblocker+ that's installed? I doubt it because turning it off didn't help.
I tried to run the same video here with Lucy on IE11 and it run flawlessly.
@ThatAngryMan What's weird is that people can't find someone attractive quietly. When the people leaving those comments enter the real world and see a woman they find attractive, they'll quickly realise that it's not normal to start saying "oh you're so cute" or "your age and do you have boyfriend?".
People generally don't like it and find it creepy, and when it's face to face many people find it threatening.
@ThatAngryMan when 80% of the comments are about her looks, it's weird.
@Weemanply109 Agreed. However, there IS a reason as to why attractive people are chosen to be presenters, and we all know what that is. So, even though it may seem to be fundamentally wrong to compare the presenters' physical attractiveness, it's only natural that people do so.
And as far as their "co-existence" is concerned, I don't think GS News can have two primary hosts, hence the question of "who is better" rose, and in that department I believe Lucy performed better even than the show's original host, Jess.
@GunEye it might be something to do with the ".f4f" streaming system if you want to try to google it. it's h.orseshit, constantly loading small fragments instead of a whole video. main reason i hate it is because it doesn't let me download the videos and watch them in another player.
@GunEye i actually had to install Chrome for a while because i had the same problem on Firefox lol. not sure how but eventually it stopped.
I know if someone paid you a compliment, you'd find that creepy. You only speak for yourself. You don't speak for anyone else.
Rapport is assumed since the speaker has given a presentation.
In real life, I've given plenty of compliments to plenty of women and men.
Of course, you don't go up to a complete stranger and give a compliment, buy you might if the two of you had a dialog. After having a rapport with someone, I might leave that person with a genuine compliment as I'm leaving. Or after a brief exchange, I might pay the person a compliment and make conversatin with it.
I have reason to believe that you're never done so in you life. You just speaking out of what you've been conditioned to believe here at GameSpot. Of course, If the person in real life isn't receptive to you, doesn't want to have rapport with you, or is busy, of course I'm not going to pay them a compliment. But I might find something admirable about them. It doesn't have to be looks or personality. It could be the watch their wearing. It's always sincere. If I pay a compliment, it's always sincere and never supficial.
I've had a married woman tell me she might want to marry me after giving an impromptu presentation. I was flattered. I've had women tell me I was sexy on the Internet. I had one woman post love poems, videos, and sincere compliments about me and I was very happy I was recognized for being the greatest guy in the world to her. She said she was crying at her computer over me and posts I left her in return.
I think if Lucy said you were a great person, I doubt you would take it as creepy. When Jess said she loved Charles McDonell, no one was calling her creepy for it, because everyone knew how she meant it.
@Kickable @GunEye Issues on Safari as well, the ads at the start keeping freezing so i can't even watch the vids.
@SaintsRowLA I'm not talking general compliments. I'm talking compliments that are obviously sexually motivated. I'm speaking from my girlfriend's experience mostly, and plenty of other girls I'm friends with and/or have lived with. They know that when a guy says "you're so pretty" or something similar they usually mean "I'd like to bone you." I've heard plenty of girls talk about how it creeps them out and they get fed up of guys complimenting them on their looks in that way, and yet people still do it.
I agree with the sentiment though. It's good to complement. I just don't think the "you're so sexy" type stuff is necessary or considerate.
