I will stand by tank controls till I die. it's survival horror, yeah they may limit some people at first but it's probably supposed to be like that. once you master tank controls they are like any other controls.
as a tank control res evil vet who's favorite game is Res evil 3 (and the remade gamecube one) I think people who complain about the controls are whiny losers who like quoting some casual game show that was cheesy to begin with. "the fudge is pre rendered", my friends make fun of that all the time and I totally disagree with them. it's popular to bandwagon hate alot of things in the videogame industry. I don't care if you hate something, that's your opinion. just don't absorb a bunch of "hating to be cool" and never think for yourself. the controls are part of the definition of survival horror and it's one of the main reasons I abandoned that series after Res evil 4 (good game but not survival horror anymore).
I swear they jump the gun on release dates to rack up preorders. I never preorder anything that isn't a month or less away just for this reason anymore. im glad developers take the time to perfect games rather than unleashing a mess on us, just stop getting my hopes up prematurely and gimmie the late estimate.
With all the delays glad i have an X1 still have forza horizon 2,sunset overdrive,And halo master chief collection
As a lover of the first 3 RE games who never owned a Gamecube, I'll probably pick up the remake, but it's still disconcerting that Capcom doesn't seem interested in making anything new.
I can't believe yet another game has been pushed back to 2015. Remember when October was going to be this really crowded month for new games?
Fantastic shirt Jess!
I would bet good money it's being delayed not because of development issues or needs more work. They thought it would make a much larger splash, and it was good reaction but not great. So they they pushed it back to start an even more rigorous marketing campaign.
I'm not too fussed about either TBF. Resident Evil was good back in the day, but playing it again now would probably ruin my nostalgia. As for AC, it will probably be a good game, but I've overdosed on this franchise & have become blasé with it all.
Next year looks like it is going to be far too congested.
Resident Evil with 360 degree controls!...........this has just gone from a I'll keep my eye out to a HELL YEAH!
Huh.. They just did an alpha test and now announced a delay?
Guess their expectations on something weren't in tune with what the community thought?
lol im not surprised at all about the game being delayed and also the real anchor around next gen consoles is the previous gen all this multi plat crap makes these new consoles a waste
The AC Rogue trailer looks good, worth keeping an eye on. Remastered RE looks good too, like to see companies spend some coin beefing up classics for modern tech.
Assassin's Creed Rogue vs. Resident Evil Remake Remastered?
AC Rogue because Rogue Warriors Lead the Way!
Beautiful blouse Jess. Beautiful colours and design.
Q of the Day?
How many new outfits does Jess buy each week? How many pairs of shoes does Jess own? How many new pairs shoes does Jess buy each week?
I just playing around.I'm kidding! Your new outfits are all great.
Evolve: Seems to be a trend to push games back. Let's just hope it won't be as bad as the Ps4 launch title Driveclub xD
AC: Really hard to look forward to a last gen exclusive title, especially with Unity around. Playing a Templar sounds fun, but they should reall bring that to PC and this gen as well.
Lol @ the remastered remake. Will they remake or reremaster it next gen? :p
Who cares about AC 3.5. REmake is one of the best horror games of all time. I kind of wanted a disc, but download is OK too.
AC rogue will eventually make its way to PC just like AC liberation did so0o0o0o0o yea.....I don't have a console, so i'll be playing RE remastered at some point...too many pc games I've yet to finish =\
Looking very pretty today Jess. Definitely Resident Evil Remastered... maybe this time the crows won't startle me.
I can't say I'm terribly excited for AC Rogue, I think Ubisoft should release a new Assassin's Creed game every two years, not twice a year. Still, I'm interested to see some gameplay.
@vitanuovamalice LOL no they don't. Well a lot of them don't. When MK X comes out a boatload of DLC will follow then perhaps game patches and what not then a Komplete edition will come just like MK9 and Injustice
@vitanuovamalice Right now Evolve is very hyped. They had a very successful presentation at E3, which leads to the conclusion that it will sell pretty well. Since the publisher is no fool, he realizes that the ratio of potential customers to the estimates of new generation consoles sold in 2014 does not benefit his interests. In other words: The publisher waits until there is a sufficient number of consoles sold, so that his profit will be even higher. Of course there will be more PS4s and XboxOnes sold in 2015 than in 2014. If the game would be published in 2014 less customers would care about it, when they buy one of the new consoles in 2015. Because in 2015 a lot of big budget games will come out and redirect the focus from the "old" Evolve unto them.
The publisher knows that Evolve is able to compete against the other upcoming games in 2015. So he smells more money with a larger market waiting for him in the next year.
@youre_a_sheep I don' think it's as simple as a lack of interest in making anything new. Just a lack of funds for much that isn't sure to make money, because well, they don't have much money.
@UnaSolida That can't be the reason for so many games being pushed back. Delaying revenue for the sake of spending more on marketing doesn't make sense.
@meedokicky No Chris pancake?
@SaintsRowLA She does all of these videos barefoot. True story.
@ArchoNils2 I don't think Ubisoft understands how PCs work. Someone should give them a manual.
Sooo... you don't like a game you know NOTHING about because you THINK it plays like another title in the series, but you want to buy the remaster of a remake?
@Zombie97 It's also kinda hard to get excited for a previous gen exclusive. Sure it could be a great game, but how likely is that?
With technical limitations we know it won't be anything especially cool for graphics or physics or that kinda stuff, and also they won't be able to make the world a lot bigger, add more density, and so on. Some of those things of course have an effect on gameplay, so it makes you think well it's probably going to be the same old. Actually the new gen AC will probably be same old too, but that's another story :).
So what are we left with, there's the setting which isn't something especially new either. Kinda just leaves the story, and while it could be an excellent story, AC isn't the kind of game where a good story can make the game alone.
I should say, I'm not really a fan of AC anyway :), but I am approaching the analysis as if I were, sorta :).
@Buckhannah @youre_a_sheep Yeah, I think Capcom needs to make money without takin' a risk. This remake seems to me like a safe bet. They don't have to invest huge amounts of money, since the game has already been made. They just have to polish it. Well, they won't get rich with this one, but I think a profit is guaranteed.
But why doesn't Capcom invest in the development of a new entry into the RE franchise? I don't think Capcom dares to develop a completely new Resident Evil game, because they got the same problem like so many other Japanese game developers as well. They try to please their western audience, but they don't understand what the average western gamer likes to play.
If you're a game publisher then you want to be successful in the region with the highest profits: the west. But what if you don't care about western games? What if you don't understand why so many people play Call of Duty, Battlefield, Gears of War and Uncharted? Then you have to dissect those games. Look at their single parts and try to copy those for your own upcoming games. If you act like that, failure is inevitable.
Let's make a Final Fantasy for the western audience. What do they like to play? Fast paced action games. Well, then let's give them exactly that.
How a about a new Resident Evil? What does the west play at the moment? A lot of online-shooters. Right now they enjoy something called co-op. If it's co-op they want then it's co-op they'll get.
My dear Japanese publishers and developers, don't try to be something you're not. We don't want you to be bad copies of our well known western companies. Be unique! Be yourselves! Look how well From Software and Kojima Productions are doin'. We welcome them with open arms, because we know they will deliver something we won't get from other developers. And if you consider that Nintendo develops unique games and they still are far from being successful, I assure you the reason for that doesn't lie within their games, it's their stillborn console called WiiU.
Uuuhh no, not if understand how business works. You gotta spend money to make money. There's too many big titles coming out Q3,Q4 so why not put a little more marketing into it and release it Q1or Q2 2015 when there's less going on.
Thank you. I bet she has very beautiful feet.
I do remember an end of show out take where she was doing the moonwalk while delivering news on Bethesda about nine months ago.
