GameSpot's Buyer's Guide - Xbox One
Is Xbox One the console to buy this holiday season? Chris Watters dives into the good, the bad, and the ugly of this next-gen device.

More like a DONT BUY. XBOX IS A FUCKING FAIL.
$500 is not peanuts for most people and what they are offering is not ground breaking.
Good video chris.
"I'm going to describe the pros and cons of the console, show you some games then tell you to hold off and not to buy it yet, making the entire video pointless, I might as well have shown you absolutely nothing because I'm telling you not to buy it, glad I could waste your time"
Xboxone - Wait
PS4 - Wait
Wii U - Wait
Shouldn't a buyers guide just suggest what games to pick up & where? Like the best deals and bargains and stuff?
I think it's ill-advised to tell other people whether they should buy a console or wait a bit as it's always the personal factors that ultimately matter. You can list the features, games, etc. but in the end it's up to the indiviual to decide which features and games (and future games) they care about.
It's also always so weird when multi-platform games are seemingly excluded from any purchasing decision. There's still quite a difference between a next-gen game and the last gen, not everyone necessarily has a high-end PC (and if they do, they either already decided not to buy a new console or will buy the console based off of exclusives, regardless of anything else the console does.) So, to say there aren't enough games at launch while there are multiplayer experiences like Battlefield, Call of Duty or Need for Speed and Assassin's Creed 4 for a great open-world singleplayer, is misguiding.
I love PS4 fanboy testimonials:
"I was one of them before...the xbox lover. Then I was scorned. My love for the xbox soured like wine turning to vinegar. I felt horrible...abandoned. Then...he came in my life...sony. the ps3. we dated..and infatuation turned to love. today, I have forgotten about microsoft..and my ex...platform the 360. Today, my new lover is the ps4."
I'd be more intrigued with the system as a media device if I could access my DVR or utilize the system as a DVR.
As to gaming, after my launch 360 RRoD for the second time all my multi-platform gaming switched over to the PS3 and my 360 became little more than a Halo (+Netflix) machine.
That attitude carried over to the new generation as I eagerly pre-ordered my PS4 after E3.
Who's to say that I won't some day give in to have a really expensive Halo machine... but that's really the only exclusive IP Microsoft has that interests me. I'd love to see them create some new IP's or bring back some of the novel ones from their past, e.g. Azurik, Kameo, Gunvalkyrie, Crimson Skies, Alter Echo.
I'd say Panzer Dragoon, but its spiritual successor doesn't seem to have done so hot.
I'm more inclined to buy a Wii U at the moment because that's where all the interesting exclusives are hiding out.
wtf is going on with gamespot, it's all about ps4 !!!! keep sucking on sony's balls. IGN here i come, really disappointed.
@hordaak Yep, that pretty much sums me up, although there was a last minute change up and I'm currently with the Wii U. She may not technically be the prettiest, but she's far more appealing in her breadth of experiences and her uniqueness. Truth be told, I play the entire field, so I'll dish it up with both the PS4 and Xbox One, but the Xbox One is looking more and more high maintenance, while the PS4 is where I will probably spend most of my time.
@pcty yup im waiting on both. no idea what SONY or MS will do
You are going to be disappointed with IGN too. ;)
@At3fD They gave the PS4 the same rating: Wait.
I am not sure what you are trying to do there - at the end, the video mentioned "wait", not "don't buy".
Are you thinking that people would see your comment and take it as you saying what is mentioned at the end? If so, that would be quite duplicitous of you.
